St Francis is are carefully re-opening to public worship with services at 6pm on Sunday, and 10am Thursday.

There will will be no physical sharing of the peace, and Communion will be given standing, in one kind, dropped into the hands.

St Francis Church is a small church situated on Schneider Road, Barrow-in-Furness, with a distinctive spire topped with a weather vane in the form of a fish.

The church is part of the parish of St Matthew with
St Francis, and serves the communities of Ormsgill, the Schneider Estate and the Cemetery Cottages and beyond to Parkside near the former church of St Matthew.

The church may be relatively small, but we are friendly and faithful, and pleased to welcome anyone to join our worship and prayer.
