St Francis Church is a small church situated on Schneider Road, Barrow-in-Furness, with a distinctive spire topped with a weather vane in the form of a fish.
The church was part of the parish of St Matthew with
St Francis, and served the communities of Ormsgill, the Schneider Estate and the Cemetery Cottages and beyond to Parkside near the former church of St Matthew.
Sadly the church closed its doors for the last time at Christmas 2024, but parishioners are most welcome to join the congregation at St James the Great to join our worship and prayer.
